Join us for CCCADI’s exclusive Mi Querido Barrio Augmented Reality Walking Tours. Part III of Home, Memory, and Future - The ‘virtual’ exhibition, Mi Querido Barrio (My Beloved Community), mounted outdoors and in ‘cyberspace’ using augmented reality technology, will feature the place-making site-specific landmark locations by artists focusing on the creative process of community building important within the social history of El Barrio. On this walking tour, you will have the opportunity to engage with Augmented Reality (AR) technology, learn about the history of El Barrio, and witness the incredible digital artworks of our Home, Memory, and Future artists.
Mi Querido Barrio features the work of artists, Yasmin Hernandez, Adrian "Viajero" Roman, Tamiko Thiel, Alejandro Epifanio, Oliver Rios, Andrew Padilla, Edwin Pagan, Bianca DeJesus, Mariona Lloreta, Kearra Amaya Gopee, and Michael Cordero.
Tours will be led by Carlos Jesus Martinez Dominguez, veteran museum educator, and lifelong NYC resident.
WHERE: Tours will begin in front of Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute, located at 120 E 125th Street.
