In this second event, done in partnership with the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute, ¡AHA! is proud to announce this interactive panel discussion and question and answer session geared specifically for teaching artists of color in New York City.
Provided by various experts in the field of Arts in Education, this discussion will explore the realities and experiences artists face to remain self-sustainable as teaching artists through the diverse perspectives of each panelist. Exponents will also open a dialogue that explores and presents possibilities for alternate sources of earned income and seeking additional opportunities as teaching artists. Participants will be invited to engage in a question and answer session with veteran self-contracting teaching artists, Arts Education Administrators and Arts in Education Funders.
