Groundwork, Inc and the Caribbean Cultural Center have entered into an exciting new partnership to sponsor “First Saturdays” -- a series of cultural events and workshops to take place at the Groundwork Community Playground at PS 328 during summer 2007. The playground is located at 330 Alabama Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11207 These events will be free and open to the general public. They will take place the first Saturday of each month from June through September and will include workshops and performances by CCC artists and others from the New York City area.
Free Admission.
The events will take place between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm and will include the following topics:
June 2: Afro-Cuban drum and dance
July 7: Afro-Haitian drum and dance
August 4: Story-telling workshop
Sept 1: Afro-Puerto Rican dance and drum

From the C train:
Exit at Liberty stop. Walk about 6 blocks SOUTH along Pennsylvania Ave, turn RIGHT on Sutter Ave.; walk 3 blocks and turn LEFT on Alabama Ave. Walk 1 ½ blocks until you see the playground on the right.
From the 3 train:
Exit at Pennsylvania stop. Walk about 6 blocks NORTH along Pennsylvania Ave, then turn LEFT onto Blake Ave.; walk 3 blocks and turn RIGHT onto Alabama Ave. Walk ½ block until you see the playground on the left.
