Women of Power is the coming together of Afro-descendant women activists from Latin America, the Caribbean and Central America who are working to transform and envision an empowering future for their communities and to meet with their sisters and communities in the United states that are working on issues of social justice and human rights. The coming together of women of the African Diaspora bridges and shares information and experiences that enlighten and develop collaborative networks of mutual support. This year’s conference focuses on women who are leaders in African sacred traditions ranging from healing work to those leading spiritual communities. Join us for a day-long event of panels, discussions and presentations featuring women traditional leaders and priestesses from around the African Diaspora. For more information or to register, contact Shantrelle P. Lewis at slewis@cccadi.org or 212.307.7420 ext. 3008.
