A new season of SouSou! Saturdays kicks off this October!
The SouSou! Saturdays program is inspired by the cooperative economic practice is known throughout the African Diaspora by such names as "Colecta", "Box Hand", "San", "Partna", or "Sou-Sou". We've borrowed from, and transformed this long-standing practice of collective trust, and contribution into a "cultural SouSou" for the community.
Families with kids ages 4-12, come and enjoy community, and learning, while making art, dance, music, and much more! . This season, we are delighted to be joined by Callaloo Kids, CCCADI’S newest artists-in-residence! Their entertaining style of puppet theater highlights a unique brand of cultural literacy and social awareness.
