Past Exhibitions

PAST EXHIBITIONS

Throughout CCCADI's history, we have acted as an incubator and springboard for new artistic and intellectual brilliance. For example, we spearheaded 'Transforming the Crown: African, Asian and Caribbean Artists in Britain' which amassed more than 100 works into an exhibition that was simultaneously on-view at CCCADI, The Studio Museum in Harlem, and The Bronx Museum of the Arts.

Below is an archive of our past exhibitions:

Maria Cruz

A special shout-out to our friends Maria Cruz, Director of Taino Towers, as well as Vinny, Marty and the Positive WorkForce crew for the intense and dedicated work being done for hurricane relief for Puerto Rico!  We are all family and we must be present for our communities in Puerto Rico & the Caribbean

Edgardo MIranda-Rodriguez

Activist and artist Edgardo MIranda-Rodriguez had a very special comic book signing and discussion of his new popular graphic novel, La Borinqueña at our home last month. La Borinqueña is an original character and patriotic symbol presented in a classic superhero story created and written by Miranda-Rodriguez.

OPAL TOMETI

Opal Tometi is a New York-based Nigerian-American writer, strategist and community organizer. Ms. Tometi is a Co-founder of #BlackLivesMatter. The historic political project was launched in the wake of the murder of Trayvon Martin in order to explicitly combat implicit bias and anti-black racism and to protect and affirm the beauty and dignity of all Black lives.
