Guided Exhibition Tour

CCCADI welcomes schools and organizations to visit our current exhibition Rhythm, Bass and Place: Through the Lens. For students and educators interested in engaging with our exhibition, we are offering in-person guided gallery tours. From now through June 24, 2023, we are offering a 90 minute guided tour for groups up to 20 people led by professional museum educators. During a guided visit, students will explore a few artworks in depth through observation and discussion. Visitors will be able to connect our exhibits not only to their classroom curriculum, but also current events, their lives, and their communities.

Our new in-person exhibit is in celebration of Hip Hop’s 50th Anniversary and features photography by Joe Conzo Jr. and Malik Y. Cumbo who captured Hip-Hop from the 1970s to the 2000s. The tour will walk you through the neighborhoods and people that helped create the culture from its early days to some of the artists who left, and continue to leave, their mark on Hip-Hop. In addition, the exhibition education guide will give you more insight on the different reasons and ways of how and why the culture spread.
